Meet Odette
Odette. The dog who both needs no reason to get the cutest zoomies, but also simultaneously exudes total “chill girl” energy. She loves a stuffed toy, and will make herself right at home literally anywhere she goes with anyone who will say hello to her. Odette came to us as a medical case. Bad skin, long time ear infections, overbred, constant UTI’s, and with a spooky mass inside her vulva that the shelter watched growing as she sat and waited for someone to see her. The first email they sent us about her she was ours. Her case has stumped all the doctors we have seen - how very Swampie of us - but after lots of tests, X-rays, and ultrasounds to see what the heck is going on, today is finally surgery day! Our doctor believe what she has is all fatty tissue and expects a full recovery, but we will be sending samples off to test if need be as well. This means very soon Odette will be looking for her forever home! She is dog friendly, house savvy, 7 years old and 65lbs of trying to be an actual lap dog. Every time we go to the vet she has the whole staff cooing over her and complimenting her behavior. With all the vet visits for Odette, along with today’s surgery, we are about $3500 into her care. Please share Odette’s story, and if you can, please donate towards her vet bills. We love our medical pups - the ones who just can’t get what they need with limited shelter care - and we can only continue to take them on and give them the chance they would not get otherwise because of Swamp family like you supporting us. Thank you.
