Meet Proteus

Hi, I'm Proteus!90#MY ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN SPONSORED!I am a gentle soul, looking for a safe place to call my own. I've only had one other home before coming to the shelter, so the transition into this loud, unpredictable place has been difficult for me. Thankfully I slowly began to trust the people I've met here, and am learning to trust them! That being said, it may take me a bit to warm up to my new family. Once I do I am a sweet, gentle older guy, who enjoys naps on the couch and gentle pets. I would be a good companion for someone that enjoys slow strolls through the park, or I could just snuggle beside you while you read your favorite book. I can coexist with other dogs, but am not particularly looking for a playful friend. My ideal home would have people aged teenagers or up.
