Meet Queenie
Queenie (A1947282) is a sweet, gentle, 8-year-old cattle dog/pit bull terrier mix. She is a soulful senior lady who is ready to find her cozy forever home. While she was a bit shy when she first arrived, Queenie has blossomed into an affectionate, easygoing companion who loves nothing more than taking in the sights and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. She is easy to leash up, doesn't pull, and walks right by your side. She loves going on quiet strolls—whether she’s casually sniffing around or happily carrying her favorite squeaky toy along for the walk. Queenie is a total lovebug who leans right into pets, scratches, and soft gentle attention. After a nice walk, one of her favorite activities is sitting calmly in the shade, relaxing, and watching the world go by. Queenie has done well meeting other dogs through the gate in our play yard, greeting them with a loose body, a wagging tail, and calm sniffs—especially around other calm pups. As a senior pet in her golden years, she is looking for an adopter who can give her the extra care, soft place to land, and routine veterinary attention that older pets need to stay comfortable and thriving. If you are looking for a gentle, easy-walking, and loving companion to share quiet moments with, Queenie can't wait to meet you! Queenie can be found at the Eastside shelter!
