Meet Scout #9
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Scout #9 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). Scout #9 | 8-year-old Terrier mix | Your fun-loving, squeaky-toy-destroying sidekick Scout is a 8-year-old Terrier mix who is the life of the party. She is social, energetic, and loves people and other dogs. She enjoys fetch, tug-of-war, and pretty much anything that involves having fun. She has a great sense of other dogs and is surprisingly good at knowing when another dog isn't interested in playing. Scout can be a little stubborn, but she is very food motivated, which makes her easy to convince. She is also quite vocal, especially when she is playing. Scout walks well on leash and would be happiest with a canine companion and a yard where she can burn off some of her energy and have plenty of opportunities to play. She enjoys having a good time and would love a family that will include her in plenty of activities. Plush toys are best avoided, however, as Scout considers destroying them to get to the squeaker and stuffing part of the fun. Scout is house trained, although adopters should expect that accidents can happen while she adjusts to a new home. Because she is a vocal girl, she is not suited for apartment, condo, or townhome living. A house with a yard would be ideal. Scout has a big personality and a lot of love to give. If you're looking for a fun, playful companion who will keep you entertained and always be ready for the next adventure, Scout may be your girl. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $125. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
