Drako, a four-and-a-half-year-old Pitbull mix, has been named the second winner of The Tennessean's Pet of the Week initiative. Drako, who was nominated by Stewart County Faithful Friends Animal Rescue, received 1,264 votes, narrowly beating out a 5-month-old Chihuahua and Pitbull mix from 3 Friends Animal Rescue in Montgomery County, who received 1,123 votes. Drako is described as an energetic and affectionate dog who would thrive in an active home and ideally should be the only pet in the household. He has been with the rescue since he was around three to four months old. Stewart County Faithful Friends Animal Rescue, based in Dover, has been dedicated to finding perfect homes for animals for about 14 years.
