These ‘pawsome' furry friends are waiting for their forever homes at Pawsome Squad rescue

Pawsome Squad rescue in New York City is currently home to several senior and older dogs awaiting their forever homes. Among them is Santi, an 8-year-old dog who was found as a stray on a beach and faced numerous challenges, including a misdiagnosis of degenerative myelopathy. Thanks to actor Justin Theroux's intervention and a quick foster placement, Santi was saved and diagnosed with a mid-back spinal issue and osteoarthritis instead. Cali, a 1 1/2-year-old dog, was found wandering alone in a cemetery but has blossomed into a social and affectionate pup. Keiko, a 4-year-old dog, was rescued from the euthanasia list along with her siblings, and she is eager to learn and enjoys outdoor activities. Lucy, a 2-year-old dog, was surrendered due to a new child in the family but loves outdoor activities and is very social. Cooper, also 2 years old, was surrendered after his family was evicted and saved from the euthanasia list. He is a social pup who loves walks and play.
