Hi, my name is Chocolate Chip, and I'm looking for someone to show me what love really feels like... For the first eight years of my life, I didn't know what it meant to be a beloved pet. I was just a worker for a breeder, living a life without a real family. Now that I’m finally free, the big world is so overwhelming, and to be honest... I am still very scared. I’m a tiny Pomeranian, born on June 22, 2018, and weighing just 7.2 pounds. My foster mom is so sweet to me, but after everything I’ve been through, it’s really hard for me to trust humans right away. My heart wants to feel safe, but I get frightened so easily. I do much better when I have another dog around—especially an older or gentle friend who can show me the ropes and help me feel brave. Watching another dog trust you helps me believe that maybe I can, too. I’ve spent eight long years waiting for a cushy, comfortable life where I can just rest, feel secure, and leave my past behind.
