Meet Boomer and Boston
8 and 6 year old males StoryBoston and Boomer are two handsome fawn brothers with hearts as big as their love for each other. Boston, age 6, is a goofy, cuddly companion who loves lap time and being close to his people. Boomer, age 8, is a devoted and affectionate gentleman with a playful spirit who enjoys making new dog friends. Both boys are crate-trained, polite eaters, and enjoy walks while continuing to polish their leash manners. They get along wonderfully with other dogs and love children. Boston is making great progress with house training and will thrive with a consistent routine. These sweet boys are bonded and happiest together, so they're looking for a family willing to open their hearts to both. Looking for double the snuggles, double the laughs, and double the love? Boston and Boomer are ready to complete your family!*******All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Puppies younger than 6 months are not eligible for out-of-state adoption. Interested in adopting with DFWPRC? What should I expect in the first weeks after adopting Boomer and Boston?
Senior dogs typically have a brief adjustment period of a few days to a couple of weeks as they settle into a new home. They may be quiet or shy at first, then relax once they feel safe. A calm routine, a comfortable place to sleep, and patience usually make the transition smooth. Most senior dogs settle in faster than puppies because they are already past the demanding early stage.
Is Boomer and Boston good with children or other pets?
Compatibility depends on the individual dog's history and personality more than age or breed alone. DFW Pug Rescue can tell you about Boomer and Boston's known behavior around children, cats, and other dogs.
