Meet Pepsi
Hi! My name is Pepsi! While I do not have an official foster home yet, I did get transported by and stay with a rescue volunteer a few times so she was able to learn some things about me! I am a beautiful 8 year old girl with the energy of a young pup! I am playful and love doing zoomies in the backyard or through the house. I love car rides and will jump right in ready to hit the road! I am crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. I walk right into my crate with no hassle and sleep in it through the night. I love cuddling on the couch but am also just as happy to just curl up at the human's feet. I have the typical goofy Boxer personality and do the cutest head tilt when the humans talk to me. I got to meet the volunteer's chihuahua who does not like other dogs and was non reactive to him. I have not met any cats so it is unsure if I am feline friendly. I am polite and do not jump on people which could make me suitable for small children! The volunteer says I was "an absolute joy to have in her home" and I think you would agree if I was a part of your home! Contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you! If you're interested in fostering a dog, please fill out the Foster Application https://austinboxerrescue.com/ways-to-help/foster/ If you're interested in adopting, please fill out the Adoption Application http://austinboxerrescue.com/adoption-application/ Our volunteers will work with you to find the best dog for your home. Pepsi is being virtually fostered by Julie Sullivan, thank you!

Adopting Pepsi — FAQ
How do I adopt Pepsi?
Use the adoption link or contact details on this page to apply directly with Austin Boxer Rescue in Austin, Texas. Lily's Second Chance lists Pepsi to help them get seen — the adoption is handled by that organization.
Is Pepsi still available for adoption?
Pepsi's listing is refreshed regularly, but availability can change quickly as dogs are adopted. Always confirm Pepsi is still available directly with Austin Boxer Rescue before making plans.
Is Pepsi a senior dog?
Yes. Every dog listed on Lily's Second Chance, including Pepsi, is a senior — generally age 7 or older. Senior dogs are often already house-trained and calm, and they wait the longest for a home.
Can I foster Pepsi instead of adopting?
Some shelters and rescues offer a foster-to-adopt path — you foster first, then complete the adoption if the match feels right. Check Pepsi's profile for the organization's contact details and ask them directly whether a fostering option is available.
What should I expect in the first weeks after adopting Pepsi?
Senior dogs typically have a brief adjustment period of a few days to a couple of weeks as they settle into a new home. They may be quiet or shy at first, then relax once they feel safe. A calm routine, a comfortable place to sleep, and patience usually make the transition smooth. Most senior dogs settle in faster than puppies because they are already past the demanding early stage.
Is Pepsi good with children or other pets?
Compatibility depends on the individual dog's history and personality more than age or breed alone. Austin Boxer Rescue can tell you about Pepsi's known behavior around children, cats, and other dogs. Many organizations offer a meet-and-greet before finalizing an adoption to make sure the match is right for everyone.
Know a senior dog who needs a home?
