Meet Nina

11/05/26 14:09 This dog needs a rescue or dedicated adopter by November 19 who can monitor her urinary incontinence and provide ongoing medical care. Her urine leakage has caused painful sores around her vulva. She has started Proin to help control the leakage and is receiving antibiotics in case of infection. She needs daily checks of the affected skin and a veterinary recheck to assess healing, see how well the medication is working, and determine whether her dose needs adjustment. A urine sample could not be collected at her visit, so urine testing is still needed to evaluate for infection. The shelter cannot provide the close monitoring she needs. Her X-rays showed arthritis in both knees and extensive bony bridging along her spine. She walked without a visible limp at her exam and is receiving carprofen and gabapentin for comfort but does have an overall stiff gait and has been noted to have difficulty rising and laying down. She also had a fractured tooth extracted and both ears treated for yeast infections. She has several lumps under the skin, which are suspected to be fatty masses (confirmed with cytology).Nina needs a rescue or adopter who can monitor her medical conditions and give her a soft place to land outside of the shelter. Needs rescue or dedicated adopter by 11/19
