Forever Fosters needed for senior pets at Angels of Assisi in Roanoke | Rachel to the Rescue

Angels of Assisi, an animal shelter and veterinary clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, is facing a challenging situation with an increasing number of animals arriving and fewer adoptions, particularly affecting senior pets and those with significant medical needs. Under the Forever Foster model, families provide the home and daily care, while Angels of Assisi covers medications and other veterinary needs. Currently, the shelter is seeking a Forever Foster home for Hank, a 15-year-old male beagle mix who is blind and has some hearing loss. Angels of Assisi encourages those who cannot commit to long-term fostering to help in other ways, such as short-term fostering, volunteering, or participating in programs that allow community members to take a dog out for a day.
