Sweet Shelter Pit Bull With Unique Smile Waits for Forever Home After Being Evicted by Landlord

Many family pets find themselves back in shelters for reasons beyond their control — financial strains, medical needs, or housing rules can force owners to give up animals they love. That was the situation recently for Snow, a four-year-old Pit Bull who arrived at the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League after his family’s landlord would not allow him to stay. Snow came into the shelter described as affectionate and well-mannered. He’s about four years old, enjoys both walks and cuddling on the couch, and gets along with children and small dogs. His prior family said he knows basic commands such as sit, down, roll over and shake, and they were heartbroken to lose him because of the housing restriction. The rescue shared Snow’s story on TikTok through their @peggyadamsarl account, showing his gentle personality and his endearing crooked smile. Despite those qualities, Snow was passed over several times while many of the other dogs around him were adopted, leaving him waiting at the shelter longer than his neighbors. The social post ultimately did what it was meant to do: it reached someone who decided to give Snow a new home. An update in the TikTok comments revealed that Snow has been adopted and is now settling in with a forever family, receiving the attention and love he’d been hoping for. If Snow’s story moved you and you’d like to help other animals in similar situations, the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s website has information about making donations and viewing animals available for adoption.
