New wheels for Baby: Disabled rescue dog to get wheelchair after hers was stolen

Baby, a senior rescue dog with The Pittie Party of Central Florida, has been living with a rare neurological condition called Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis, or NCL4A, which affects her balance and mobility. After receiving a specialized pink wheelchair in 2023 to help her move around, the wheelchair was unfortunately stolen from her hospice foster home in St. Cloud on August 19. The theft left Baby without the mobility aid she needs, which would have cost around $800 to replace. Thanks to the generosity of Ruck9, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mobility equipment for disabled animals, Baby will receive a new pink wheelchair. The Pittie Party expressed their gratitude for the donation and shared that Baby's new wheelchair will be revealed soon. Baby has been with The Pittie Party since 2017 and requires ongoing physical and financial support for her care. Donations to The Pittie Party help cover medical care, medications, supplies, and other expenses for Baby and other hospice dogs. The St. Cloud Police Department is also seeking information about the theft and encourages anyone with knowledge to contact them.
